Hospitals are not just buildings filled with medical equipment — they are places of hope, healing, and compassion. For many, they are the turning point between pain and recovery, despair and new beginnings. Among these, some hospitals go beyond conventional care, working selflessly to transform lives and bring dignity back to those in need

The documentary begins with a serene mantra, setting a tone of peace, hope, and compassion. The camera slowly pans to a beautiful Jain temple, its intricate carvings and calm ambience representing the spiritual foundation of the journey we are about to witness. In Jainism, such temples are not just places of worship, but symbols of discipline, non-violence, and service to humanity.

This temple is closely tied to the vision of Guru Saurabh Sagar Ji Maharaj, whose teachings inspire acts of kindness and service. In a clip from an older recording, Guru Ji speaks of his wish to help those in pain—especially people living with disabilities. His words are not mere sermons; they became the seed for the creation of JeevanAsha Hospital. Watch the full video.

The Birth of a Mission

JeevanAsha Hospital was founded with the belief that every life matters and that disabilities should never define a person’s potential. One of the administrators proudly shares that the hospital has already helped over 6,000 patients—all for a registration fee of just ₹20.

Voices of Compassion

Dr. Ashish Sharma, who has been working here for the past 1.25 years, says he finds immense satisfaction in helping people regain mobility and dignity. The hospital is equipped with modern medical technology that supports not just general ailments but also advanced prosthetic care.

Dr. S.O. Gupta adds that most patients come with backaches, knee pain, shoulder pain, and various orthopedic concerns. What makes JeevanAsha truly unique is that it is the only NGO in the region providing free artificial limbs to those in need—using high-tech prosthetics instead of outdated models.

Life-Changing Technology

The hospital provides:

  • BK1 & BK2 prosthetics (Below Knee) for patients with knees intact.
  • AK1 & AK2 prosthetics (Above Knee) for patients who have lost legs above the knee.
  • Modular and mechanical hands for upper limb replacements.

The journey starts with understanding the patient’s unique challenges. For instance, a driver who lost his leg in an accident shares how other hospitals failed to help despite repeated visits. Here, however, he received compassionate care and a prosthetic that allowed him to resume his normal life.

Another patient praises the quality and efficiency of JeevanAsha’s services, highlighting how different the experience is compared to other medical institutions.

Crafting Hope – Step by Step

The prosthetic-making process is an art in itself:

  1. Casting – The patient’s stump is measured and molded using a POP (Plaster of Paris) bandage.
  2. Socket Creation – A double-layer socket is made using vacuum techniques; the inner layer is flexible foam for comfort, and the outer layer is carbon-laminated for strength.
  3. Fabrication – This crucial phase takes a full day to complete, ensuring durability and a perfect fit.
  4. Assembly – All prosthetic parts are joined together.
  5. Rehabilitation & Training – Patients stay at the hospital for 4–7 days, receiving weight training, walking exercises, and even sports training to restore their confidence. Accommodation and meals are provided free of cost.

A Community of Gratitude

The rehab center head explains that every patient’s prosthetic is designed considering their age, activity level, and lifestyle. This personalization ensures that the prosthetic is not just functional but truly life-changing.

One of the trustees credits Guru Ji’s followers for making all this possible. In the bustling streets of Ghaziabad, two shopkeepers proudly demonstrate how they can now work normally, thanks to the prosthetics they received at JeevanAsha.

The Message of Humanity

As the documentary comes to a close, the screen fades to a simple yet powerful message:
“Be human. Help others. Blessings can be received in many forms.”

This is more than just a hospital; it’s a movement. And through the lens of Fuzzy Reels, every moment of compassion, resilience, and transformation is preserved—not just as a record, but as an inspiration.
